While not specifically designed to record entire sessions, it can be used this way. Keep an eye on whether it times out. The application was originally designed to take a short dictated portion from the provider and expand it into a full note. However, some providers have reported using it for the whole session. Because this is web-based, continual recording depends heavily on the stability of your computer system and browser.

We use Deepgram Nova-3 Medical, a model specifically trained on medical terminology. This feature can reliably handle entire sessions with a stable internet connection. The $17/month standard plan uses the built-in browser Web Speech API to record audio. This works well for smaller snippets and quick dictations but depends heavily on your computer’s performance and does not always handle complex medical terminology accurately.

The Medical Grade Transcription plan uses the Deepgram Nova-3 Medical model, a commercial-grade engine trained specifically on medical language. It is more accurate with jargon, can handle longer dictations, and some providers even use it to capture entire sessions (though this was not its original intent).

During testing and trials, we focused on shorter dictations of around 5–7 minutes rather than continuous 30–60 minute sessions. Performance can vary depending on your setup.
